UNPAID LETTERPRESS INTERNSHIP

We select interns from graduate students in printmaking or graphic design, from undergraduate seniors, or from recent graduates in printmaking or graphic design.
Letterpress experience is a major plus, as is proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Duties include:
- Assisting designers in preparing materials and printing editions of items including but not limited to prints, posters, cards, invitations...
- Preparing materials and space for public events and exhibitions
- Assisting in wholesale product development and production
- Occasional administrative duties
- Assisting in day-to-day running and maintenance of studio, retail and office spaces
Yee-Haw Industries focuses on design and illustration in addition to letterpress implementation of designs. Intern will be expected to work full time (M-F, 10am -6pm) and may have limited access to the studio after hours with supervision. Housing, meals, transportation and all materials for personal projects will be the responsibility of the intern. Regular attendance, timeliness, and attention to detail are very important. If you can't comply, you need not apply. If you got time to lean, you got time to clean.

Deadlines and Application Procedures:
Applications must be RECEIVED 2 MONTHS before the beginning of the session you are applying for and must include:
- Current resume
- 5 digital images of recent work (can be illustration, design or print work)
- An online portfolio (if you have one)
- Two current letters of recommendation
- Letter of intent highlighting why an internship at Yee-Haw is important to you, and what kind of experiences you could bring
- A self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of materials
- (please be sure to include adequate postage, if you don't, we can't return your work)
